About Maydm
Maydm provides girls and youth of color in grades 6-12 with skill-based training for the technology sector through out-of-school programs and workshops. Maydm’s holistic approach prepares students from traditionally underrepresented populations to engage in and revolutionize the tech industry.
Maydm offers out-of-school programs and workshops where students build the skill set to pursue exciting career opportunities in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), creating a diverse workforce pipeline in Dane County. Students are immersed in a venue where they learn key programming and digital literacy skills, interact with professional technologists through mentorships, and develop soft skills, applying this knowledge to practical projects such as constructing websites or programming hardware. Distinctly, our programs and workshops integrate technical skills, innovation, problem-solving, design thinking, and teamwork to promote our students’ personal, academic and professional growth.
