About Olbrich Botanical Society
Olbrich Botanical Society (OBS) is the non-profit organization that raises funds for Olbrich Botanical Gardens, Madison's public garden. Located on the east side of Madison, Olbrich Botanical Gardens features 16 acres of outdoor display gardens and the 10,000 square foot tropical Bolz Conservatory. The City of Madison Parks Division and OBS work together as a public-private partnership to operate the Gardens, which are free and accessible to over 325,000 yearly visitors. Olbrich connects people with plants as a place of beauty and education. Olbrich's educational programming reaches more than 155,000 people yearly, serving adults, youth & families, and area schools. Olbrich is currently building its first dedicated Learning Center and new, space-efficient greenhouses. To keep the Gardens free and accessible, OBS raises $2 million annually through a robust membership base, fundraising, special programs and exhibitions, education programming and services, and a great gift shop. In addition, the Society is raising funds to fulfill its $6 million capital campaign commitment for the new Learning Center and greenhouses.
